Description
BlackCard is a niche consulting and training organisation that is 100% Aboriginal owned and Supply Nation Certified.
BlackCard works with organisations to educate them on what Aboriginal Terms of Reference is, which is our accumulated knowledge that either developed or evolved over the tens of thousands of years Aboriginal people have lived in this country now know as Australia. The company was founded in 2013 by respected Aboriginal Elders, educators, long-time course developers and lecturers for the University of Queensland, Dr Lilla Watson and Dr Mary Graham alongside Mundanara Bayles who is the Managing Director.
The demand for their knowledge and expertise has grown beyond the university sector to the broader business and community sectors. This led the founders to develop the BlackCard, which builds cultural competency to work effectively with members of the Aboriginal community. The BlackCard’s approach requires strengthening ethical behaviour and enabling all people to understand and undertake respectful relationships with each other. The BlackCard aims to create a society that includes us all in a meaningful and productive way through working more effectively with First Nations people and each other.
BlackCards motto is to "Work with people, Not for people" with the genius of Aboriginal knowledge.
