Amar Singh, 2023's Australia’s Local Hero, wants to empower working fathers. He joined the Dad’s Action Group alongside Hamish Blake and Simon Pryce (aka the Red Wiggle) to launch the Dad’s Action Plan. This initiative champions systemic change, encouraging workplaces to foster inclusive cultures to support working fathers in their vital and equal role as active parents.

Singh has been nationally recognised for his work as founder of Turbans 4 Australia, providing essential supplies to people experiencing hardship, including during times of natural disasters.
