Jami Seale is a proud Wiradjuri woman, born on Gaimariagal country and now living on Darug country. Seale has spent the last 10 years working in nursing and community health, and is currently the registered nurse for Northern Sydney Local Health District Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service and Bungee Bidgel General Practice Unit. She is passionate about improving health outcomes for mob and providing a culturally safe space for patients and families to engage in care. A member of the Gidget Foundation Australia’s First Nations Committee, Seale has personal experience with postnatal anxiety and depression. She understands how easily one's social and emotional wellbeing can decline after having a baby, and incorporates this knowledge into her health assessments on pregnant or postpartum Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
