Kayla Kelaher is a proud Indigenous woman who is also the founder and Managing Director of Kelaher Industrial Services, a specialist steel fabrication, construction, repair, and maintenance business – which is 100 percent female and Aboriginal owned and operated – on Kamilaroi land in Gunnedah, New South Wales. Kelaher has broken down barriers to gain success in servicing Whitehaven Coal’s largest NSW mine in Maules Creek, as well as surrounding mines in the area. Kelaher Industrial Services not only strives to exceed clients’ expectations, but also enjoys giving back to the community.
