Abbey Wright is a proud Kamilaroi woman who grew up on Wiradjuri Country and now resides on Awabakal land/the NSW Hunter region. As Learning and Development Coordinator at the Australian Indigenous Governance Institute, she is deeply passionate about governance and empowering youth in this space. Wright works closely with organisations to navigate their governance journeys, ensuring that culture remains at the heart of everything they do, and that they are effective for generations to come. Wright is also on the Board of the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service, using her expertise to support the health and wellbeing of First Nations communities.
