With more than 25 years of clinical experience in Aboriginal child and family services, Wurundjeri and Ngurai Illum Wurrung woman Sue-Anne Hunter is a recognised leader in trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and rights-based practice. The former Deputy Chair and current Commissioner of Australia’s first formal truth-telling body, the Yoorrook Justice Commission, Hunter’s work centres on empowering Aboriginal people to heal from the ongoing impacts of colonisation. An Adjunct Professor and PhD candidate, she also currently serves on the boards for Safe and Equal and the National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth and Justice.
