As Director of the Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO), Kathryn McMullan is responsible for all aspects of its operations within the National Intelligence Community (NIC) and the Department of Defence. McMullan previously led NIC-wide workforce operations, training and inclusion initiatives, including the establishment of the National Intelligence Academy.

McMullan has worked extensively across the national security community in a range of operational and strategic policy roles. Her breadth of experience spans border security, national defence, foreign policy and intelligence and federal criminal matters. McMullan has augmented her government sector expertise with a period in private industry as a Senior Strategy and Security Consultant with a UK-based firm.
