As the founder and driving force behind Moorambilla Voices, Michelle Leonard OAM gives rural children and young adults a space to develop and showcase their talent. Passionate about using visual and performing arts as a catalyst for social change, Leonard has delivered workshops to more than 46,000 young people across regional Australia. These contributions earned her the Order of Australia in 2017 and the NSW/ACT AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award in 2023, as well as runner-up in AgriFuture’s Rural Women’s National Award. In addition to her work with Moorambilla Voices, she is also the founder and artistic director of the Leichhardt Espresso Chorus.
