Gabi Stricker-Phelps’ passion for advocating for children in child protection cases is rooted in her own childhood legal experiences. As the first child adopted by a non-relative, same-sex couple in NSW, Stricker-Phelps channels her early encounters with legal reform into her work as a lawyer at Allens. Alongside graduating from the University of Sydney with a combined Bachelor of Economics and Law (Honours), she served as the Women’s Officer on USYD’s Student Representative Council and the undergraduate representative on the University Senate. She also actively volunteers in the Australian Jewish community, holding leadership roles in the Australasian Union of Jewish Students and the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies.
