Maddy Lawson is a proud Aboriginal woman from Quirindi and Ngemba Country. She graduated from St Vincent’s College, Potts Point on an AIEF Scholarship, before completing a Bachelor of Public Health in 2021. In 2025, Maddy completed her Master of Public Health (Indigenous Health major) on an AIEF Tertiary Scholarship. Throughout her studies, she worked full-time as a Senior Policy Officer in the infectious disease sector at NSW Health, further strengthening her skills in leadership, health systems and Indigenous health.
Driven to improve health outcomes for Indigenous Australians, particularly children, Maddy has long been passionate about health, fitness and sport, and looks forward to continuing her career in public health.
