Akii Ngo (they/them) is an international multi-award-winning disability and gender equity advocate, activist, and educator. As a 2022 United Nations International Day of People with Disability Ambassador and 2023 Disability Leader of the Year, they champion non-tokenistic representation, survivor-advocacy, and co-design.
Proudly disabled, neurodivergent, and gender-diverse, Ngo brings a unique perspective as a Queer/LGBTIQA+ person of colour with a refugee background. Managing chronic illnesses and pain, they excel as an expert consultant, trainer, internationally published writer and model. Currently, as Sydney WorldPride's Accessibility Manager and a Consultant for the NDIA, Ngo leads initiatives focused on LGBTIQA+ strategy, embodying their commitment to positive change and inclusion.
