Lynda Edwards, a proud Wangkumara and Barkindji woman, stands as a dedicated advocate for her community, focusing on the financial rights and inclusion of First Nations people. With over 17 years in the financial sector, she has evolved from a financial capability worker to a financial counsellor, currently contributing to policy and advocacy efforts.
Edwards actively addresses the financial literacy gaps within her community, working towards fairer outcomes and improved financial health. Her impactful campaigns expose unethical sales tactics, fostering financial well-being across the region. Recognised for her significant contributions, Lynda received the prestigious titles of the 2023 NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year and the 2023 NSW Premier Woman of the Year.
