Susan Pearce AM has been a dedicated healthcare leader since joining Far West Local Health District in 1991 as a registered nurse. With a wealth of experience in senior leadership spanning various levels, from hospital to ministry, Susan has excelled in roles encompassing workforce and operations. As the former Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer and Deputy Secretary for Patient Experience and System Performance at NSW Health, she demonstrated exceptional service, earning her the Member of the Order of Australia in the 2023 Australia Day Honours. A qualified solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW, Pearce currently serves as Secretary of NSW Health, overseeing strategic direction, pandemic response and transformative initiatives, fostering strong partnerships for exceptional healthcare, research and education.
