Dr. Anne Summers AO is a prolific author, journalist and leader in Australia's women's movement since the 1970s. In 2022, she assumed the role of Professor at UTS Business School, furthering her dedication to researching and combating domestic and family violence.
Summers headed the Office for Women during Bob Hawke's Prime Ministership and advised Prime Minister Paul Keating on women and the arts leading up to the 1993 federal election. A Walkley Award-winning journalist, she served as the editor-in-chief of Ms. magazine in New York and orchestrated a groundbreaking women-led management buyout on Wall Street.
Her distinguished career spans media, politics, business and advocacy. Recognised for her contributions, Summers holds the title of Officer of the Order of Australia and has received multiple Honorary Doctorates.
