Dr. Rebecca Deans is an internationally recognised researcher in the surgical management of women's health issues, particularly in benign gynaecology and endometriosis. Her daily work includes being a gynaecologist at The Royal Hospital for Women, a Fertility Specialist at the RHW Fertility Research Centre and is the only paediatric and adolescent gynaecologist at the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
She's also an Associate Professor at UNSW School of Women's & Children's Health. Dr. Deans has a long list of achievements, publishing over 60 articles and leading a collaborative uterine transplant project. In 2023, she and her team performed the first Australian uterine transplant, earning her the NSW Woman of Excellence award.
